Final Major Animation: Shots 7, 13 and 14

A substantial pan shot that establishes the forest environment by revealing a dense forest and cabin. The length of this shot required three render passes. After 48 hours of rendering, I composited each render sequence together. Render passes are efficient, but can lack shadows and depth when elements of the environment are removed and replaced in post production.

A track shot that introduces characters Yin and Yang. A tree splits the scene in two, amplifying their contrasting characteristics.

A low angle shot of Gin's feet as she walks through the forest. Small kami spirits run alongside her. I created an ethereal white texture for the spirits by giving their material an Emission of 0.5, meaning their subtle glow overrides shadows and dim lighting.
