Rigging my Kami Model


I have three shape variations of this kami model. I decided to rig one, and leave the rest for a later date. This way, I can revisit the other models if I have the time. And if I'm stretched for time, I can animate my final outcome with one model instead. 

Using the 'QuickRig' tool on my magpie model was a success. I therefore utilized it again for this kami model. I found 'QuickRig' easier to use this time, because this model has a simpler shape. 
 
I found skinning the most challenging stage, but I'm getting better. It takes practice to learn how to distribute weight properly. 


This Kami spirit has working leg, arm and head controls. Small imperfections will be hidden by the characters matt textures.
