Character Workshop #2
Session Notes
This session focused on props, and how this can be linked with character design. Props are a fundamental part of a character, and can contribute towards an effective costume. The idea of props can also be perceived as anthropomorphism, in which 'prop' and 'character' are literally merged together.
My objective for this session was to develop visual ideas around the theme of a 'cyberpunk hacker'. Initially, I developed some potential props for this character, tools that might benefit their role and reflect their personality, as seen below.
I then moved on to habitats and liveable environments. I looked into possible exterior designs, that also reflect the character. I came away with the idea of an old, vandalised truck. This allows the character to stay on the move, avoiding authority, whilst having the space to conduct his work and also express his personality.
