Fantastic Voyage Animatic
A rough look at my 'Fantastic Voyage' narrative in a video format, developing on from storyboard stills. I think a lot will be added to the modelled outcome, as I wasn't able to include all key elements of the story as drawn shots. For example, I hope to include more text and in-shot-movement. Overall however, I'm confident enough to progress away from the animatic. I expect to make plenty of changes before the final outcome as some issues may not have made themselves know yet (such as timing problems), and will document the adaptions I make.
I decided to use Adobe After Effects to create my animatic, as Premier Pro was giving be trouble. When importing the jpeg files into AE, I came across some quality issues. Going forward, I must remember to check the canvas size of my projects in photoshop before I begin any drawings, as even when I expanded the canvas once realising this problem, it stretched and distorted all the work I had already done. I also need to consider problems arising from images that are too big, as these won't load in AE or Premier.
I reached out to the artists that created the soundtrack, below are some screenshots evidencing the short dialogue we had (included to prove I have legally used this music).
