Organic Modelling - Texturing

The character must be prepared for texturing through the UV editor.

Once the main components have been cut, additional cutting must be done in order o unfold each element of the character.

Once the body has been cut and laid out, the same process can be done on the tongue, teeth and eyeball (not the cornea, as this will just be transparent). The aim is to remove any distortion on the grid that is currently covering the model.

The unfolded UV’s are then organised and made to fit the grid as best as possible. These can be exported and imported into photoshop.

The model is now ready to be textured.
